Hi, I’m Miss Lori. I began my career in early childhood development in 2018 at Child and Youth Services in Fort Riley, KS. During my time there, I earned certifications from the Virtual Lab School with a focus on infants and toddlers. This transformative experience deepened my knowledge and love for nurturing and guiding young children.
After returning to Kansas City in the spring of 2023, my passion for understanding human behavior led me to pursue a certificate in Behavioral Technology. In October, I successfully passed the Competency Assessment with the Behavior Analysis Certification Board, further enhancing my skills in child development and behavior management. Additionally, I have benefited from Montessori teacher training led by our Director, Tiffany Basinger, which has enriched my ability to create a child-focused learning environment for our infants.
I am deeply committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive learning environment where every child feels respected, valued, and inspired to grow. My teaching philosophy is simple: children deserve love and respect. I strive to bring my grandmother’s motto, “Happiness is a choice,” into the classroom every day, creating a warm and supportive environment where children can thrive.
